We stand on a hill
Between the earth and sky
Now all is still
Where Loyola’s colors fly
Our course is run
And the setting sun
Ends Ateneo’s day,
Eyes are dry at the last goodbye;
This is the Ateneo way.
Mary for you!
For your white and blue!
We pray you’ll keep us, Mary
Constantly true!
We pray you’ll keep us, Mary
Faithful to you!
Down from the hill,
Down to the world go I;
Rememb’ring still,
How the bright Blue Eagles fly.
Through joy and tears,
Through the laughing years,
We sing our battle song:
Win or lose,
It’s the school we choose;
This is the place where we belong!
Mary for you!
For your white and blue!
We pray you’ll keep us, Mary
Constantly true!
We pray you’ll keep us, Mary
Faithful to you!
I can’t believe I’m an Atenean. Even when I paid the frickin’ expensive tuition it just felt like a sunk cost. Not like I am part of a brand new school. And my gosh, they brainwash you on the first day. The freshmen orientation was designed like so. But I’m sorry, this heart still belongs to UP. St Loyola can share, like 30% max.

March 29, 2010 at 10:00 pmThe song? No that’s the official school hymn, all the up to the post grad level. I don’t really need it so I don’t understand why they bother. I paid to get my education. No need for school spirit please (cue eye roll).
If I am still unfortunate, my classes may start on Black Saturday.
ARE YOU OFFICIALLY ATENISTA??? Mygee, I feel like I’m a traitor to UP. :((
