Miki and Ana’s Twenty Questions

In Songs to Get Over You, Ana suggests that she and Miki get to know each other better by playing Twenty Questions. Now I don’t know the actual questions you’d find if you get this game, but as Ana said, the rules are pretty simple: 1. You answer all the questions, and 2. The questions don’t have to end at 20.

So here I’m sharing with you Miki and Ana’s version of the game. I’ve put down my own answers (feel free to ignore them, haha), and I thought it would be fun if you answer them too. Tag me?

Okay, GO!

  1. What is the first album ever bought? (Either a Backstreet Boys one or one by the Moffatts. Yeah I was a cool kid)
  2. Who is your favorite movie villain? (Loki. Because I loved Tom Hiddleston back then)
  3. What is the worst book you have ever read? (Not because it was terrible, but because I felt like I needed to be in my happiest state to be able to enjoy that book. And at the time I wasn’t. Autofiction by Hitomi Kanehara)
  4. Who was your first kiss? (If only I can say Devon Sawa without lying…)
  5. Who is your favorite Star Wars character? (Before, it was Princess Leia. Now it’s a tossup between her and Rey and BB-8)
  6. How would you want to world to end? (Laser wipeout where everyone just disintegrates like in one of those alien invasion movies. None of that prolonged agony with the viruses and the zombies)
  7. What do you love most about your best friend? (Respects my me-time and understands/encourages my geek mode, and is awesome at 3am conversations)
  8. What do you think is the worst thing about commitment? (It’s conducive to habits that may not be good for you anymore. And what Ana said)
  9. If you had to change your name, what would you change it to? (Not Princess Consuela Bananahammock. Maybe Alexa. Or Kristen)
  10. What is your favorite movie (the real one, not the one you tell to impress people)? (Pride and Prejudice, Knightley and McFadyen version)
  11. How many pillows do you need to sleep at night? (One is fine. Three is heaven)
  12. Would you rather have a night out or a night in? (Night in, all the nights of my life. Okay so maybe not all. But yeah, most nights.)
  13. What songs would be in the soundtrack of your life? (The Killers, Shot in the Night)
  14. What would be the title of your autobiography? (“Not a Cool Kid”)
  15. If you are a character in a sitcom, who would you be? (Monica Geller. Sometimes Amy Santiago)
  16. How many times have you been in love? (Define ‘love’ first. GO)
  17. What is your most vivid embarrassing childhood story? (Too many. But there was one time I was sitting on top of a drum of water, minding my own business, when the lid gave and little skinny me fell right into the water. It was more horrifying than embarrassing, come to think of it. I can’t swim and it was an enclosed, deep, dark space arrgh)
  18. What do you like about me now? (I like that you’ve made it to the 18th question)
  19. How do you think you will die? (Car accident or cancer)
  20. How did your father meet your mother? (At work. My father tells this one as a long but really sweet story)
