Thor 2 Trailer! Enough said.

Thor reunites with Jane, just as he promised.

Thor reunites with Jane, just as he promised.

One click at the trailer and I understand all the buzz behind getting a Game of Thrones director to helm the Marvel sequel. The second coming of the god of thunder is going to be darker, stronger, and definitely beyond epic. Even Jane Foster will seemingly shake off her remaining damsel-in-distress feathers as her man takes a couple of steps further up the pedestal of bad ass.

I just got a tiny less excited for Iron Man 3. November can’t come soon enough.

Movie Review

Review: It Takes a Man and a Woman

It-Takes-a-Man-and-a-Woman

Yes, I am at least two weeks late. But yes, I am still writing about it, which should tell you a lot about what I thought about this movie. Spoiler alert: two thumbs up, a few salty tears, and a belly aching from laughter.

Star Cinema and Viva Film‘s latest outing It Takes a Man and a Woman reunites Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz in their blockbuster roles as the cheerful yet painfully naive Laida Magtalas and blunt, egotistic, son of a billionaire Miggy Montenegro. Continue Reading

Billith is Back. Who Cares, Really?

true-blood-season-5-finale-eric-sookie

‘What?? We still have to deal with Billith in Season 6??’

True Blood comes back for its sixth Season come June 16 2013, and while I am a closet Eric-Sookie shipper, forgive my lukewarm excitement for the renewal of this popular HBO series. Although the fifth season delivered its signature serving of unapologetic blood, gore, violence, sex (even violent animalistic sex) and hot men and women, human or otherwise, the plot ran thinner than the Sookie Stackhouse novels the series was based on. Diaries of a New Cat Lady

Yeoja Cat getting some love.

Yeoja Cat getting some love.

I’m one of the last people anyone would guess as an animal person, probably given my iffy disposition towards human children (I think they can be cute but it is also extremely annoying when they fake cry to get that milk bottle or to be picked up by their mommas. We don’t have to talk about this). As it is, I apparently have a soft spot for cats, developed because of the beautiful lurking felines that circle my legs when I cross the garage, and my youngest sister’s no-shame, long-term-relationship type love for our adopted pets.

DJ Miller in the House

Nick's Sexy Mix

Playlist full of sleaze, but who’s to judge? A little bit of Adele could have made it a non-douchey, depressing kind of sexy, but Winston will not allow it. He explains:

“As a friend, you can lift the heavy objects, but you can’t take her to the airport. You can hold the elevator for her, but only if you see her running down the hall saying, ‘Hey man, please, can you hold the elevator?’ No picnics, no mini-muffins, and never Adele. No Adele. No concerts, no music, no T-shirts, no nothing. NEVER ADELE!

8 Albums I Should Have Listened to By Now

Brandon+Flowers+Flamingo+Cover

In this day and age, a broken iPod can take away so many things from you. For me, I lost my background music as I trudged through the day, the borrowed sanity needed during a grueling commute,  and the thrill of fresh music blasting my eardrums. I have managed to replace the first two with incessant daydreaming and productive musings, but there really is no perfect substitute to an updated playlist. Thus far, below are the important musical moments that I am still missing. Blame it on my failed, blue iAngel-skinned, iPod 2G:
