Not sure really, if this will come out as a review, cos I feel lazy. But I promise to spam with pictures.
I sincerely think those who watched only for the idols will not be disappointed–both for the overspill of cute guys in the drama and for the drama itself. SBS drama It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl 괜찮아, 아빠 딸 / Gwaenchanha, Appa Ttal is not without its faults, not without a few unrealistic chinks in the plot here and there. For one thing they had the gayest, wimpiest antagonist ever, plotting his evil plans with his stocky backpack in tow, thick-rimmed glasses on his nose. But then I guess that means Lee WonJae did his job well as the sociopath Park JeongSeok.
The flow of the story is fast though heavy, and the interconnection between nearly all of the characters was believable to me, and it made sense. Plenty of evil characters for most of the show’s run, but the main protagonists fight back, and fight back well. So no Cinderella formula here. The protagonists are mostly ass-kickers, though they get their asses kicked in return.
Main daddy’s girl Eun ChaeRyung started out as a bratty princess (though yes, she was lovable even then. I think it was the frilly skirts and cute leggings), but all throughout she was a character to root for, and I liked her. The Choi brothers were a special set; WookGi and HyukGi were unrealistically perfect, making it so easy to fall for them. Choi JinHyuk deserves special mention. So here it is: Choi JinHyuk! Choi JinHyuk! Cockroach killer Choi HyukGi is a man you need in your life! <3
In the end, I am thankful that Donghae‘s love interests (?) were only superficial elements. Bias aside (as far aside as I can push it), I really think he did well in this drama, or maybe his character there is just a bit close to his own. Just one common thing I have with most comments I’ve read: I do wish it ended with a kiss :3
I guess that’s a bit of a review right there already. Well anyway, pictures!! <33
